It should fit but, you are going to have a space left in there. You could probably fill in that space with the cover that the 01-04 Tacoma's have when they don't come with a CD player.

atually, with the space left over, you can cover it up with a piece of ABS plastic....that is what I use to fill gaps in an install.

I've never seen a 1 1/2 Din stereo in a toyota. I think the only problem you will run into is the need to drill out new holes in the side brackets that hold the cd player so that it will match up.

If you look at a base echo or a base tacoma they come with an am/fm radio that is basically missing the top part that would be the cd player. This panel is exactly half din sized.

If you mount the 1 1/2 din stereo you have at the bottom of the 2 din opening, you'll have 1/2 din opening at the top where you would use the toyota 1/2 din panel.(you might need to drill new holes in the side brackets in order to get it to line up, you might not)

I looked for the 1/2 Din panel on ebay and didn't find it, so I would say go to the dealer, it probably only costs 10 bucks or so.

I have been searching ebay for the past hour...I have searched the internet and countless other places...I made me some templates...for the radio cut size...I was thinking that I might have to fab the whole set up...Im gonna tear into it tomorrow...and see what it would require...to the bracket come off of the stock radio and you have to reuse them when you install an aftermarket...or the kit come with new brackets...I bought a install kit from wally world...but it will not work...it said Toyota but after I opened it..it is not for the camry..oh well...more research to do..thanks for the help..

The brackets should work. I'm not sure whether or not you have to drill new holes for it to line up where you want it to.

Make sure you get a wiring harness like this one

Here's another idea, might not be feasible but
http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCOSK3
That's basically the addon that goes in Scosche kit pockets. It looks like it's half din sized. If it would work it would take up the space and serve a purpose.
