i have an in dash monitor in my 97 corolla. I trying to install a Playstaion 2 in my car. i tried different power inverters and all keep giving interference. It creates lines on the screen and noise in my speakers. Can anyone helpme. Should i hard wire the power inverter to the battery instead of using the cigarette lighter? Recommend a brand Power inverter to use. Or if you have xbox, game cube or PS2 in your car can u tell me how it was powered?

Well, I used a PS2 in my car...reason was I didn't have to keep resetting it. To answer your question, run the power lines away from the AV cables...that should clear it up. Any power invertor will do, if it is the right size, about 350 watts is enough. I ran mine to a switch, in line with a switched lead in the ignition, so that I can play without the car running, and can reset it when the voltage spikes...goes from 12.5v to 14.4 when you start the car. PM me with your questions
For the xbox, it has a DC converter built in, since the components cannot run on AC. I tore apart my Xbox, so it looks kinda funny just being innards. If you take it apart and tap the power supply cables with a multimeter, maybe you can find out how to bypass it.
either that, or maybe it will accept DC as is, and it will just run through the inversion in the power supply redundantly. Be ready to replace your xbox, if you try this.

don't worry King...in my car you can play on 3 screens, and you can play outside the car as well..... don't worry DKN you'll see the finished product
can you play your ps2 while the car is in motion? of course not while you are driver but someone else is playing or watching like games/dvd's and it wont skip? coz im planning to put one in my car but i dont know if the ps2 are capable of anti-skip or whatnot, plus do they have like a converter for multiple output to plug in the ps2's video output so that i can plug in like 3 or 4 monitors?
Thanks.
