well i already have a system in the car. pioneer 6x9s, factory front speakers, and a 15" jl sub. I'm fixing to unhook the factory dash speakers and I'm going to have either 5.25"s or 6.5"s in the doors. so yeah i know i want comps as well as subs. i want my subs to handle deep bass, comps in doors for midbass, 6x9s in the back for midrange, and tweets up front. So has anybody heard Soundstream comps?

lol nice. well i was basically wanting to know how they sound and perform. just general quality and sound stuff. also some info on prices if u could help. im looking for either 5.25s or 6.5s components that run abt 85-100 rms (im not sure which size ill use yet), some full range 6x9s that run like 125-150 rms, and an amp for all that. I am also probably going to put a 15" sub in there and amp matched up to it at abt 1000rms. i think this should hit hard and sound good. what do u think?

well as you see I have a Gen 4.5 Camry and the 6.5's fit very nice in the door they handle 150 RMS, the amps I have are a little stout for them but I have that channel turned down to keep up. As Far as the amps I have the 480.4s and the pound my chest with the 2 12's and 2 10's, and that is more then I wanted, I use the system with the DVD (also soundstream) so I like watching movies in the car more then in the house....lol

they have some great 6X9's as well the XTS6.9's handle 200 RMS
so they can definatly keep up

okay of the 15" I am sure the quality is just as wonderfull but I can't speak about it because I don't know, I have never needed a speaker that big....lol

Soundstream has been around for a LOOOOONG time and ask any of the oldschoolers here they were really good equiptment, I can attest theat they STILL are near the TOP, maybe they wont win the DB Drag, but they will be a contender for sound quality #1

awesome thanks for the info. I really like your system it looks great. I am planning on the dvd setup as well. i think ill look into soundstream a bit more. one of the owners of a local audio shop is about to put soundstream components in his vehicle. I might see if I can hear them and see how I like them.
