Canada Deck Install ** Help

I bought a new deck and got the right harness for it, i hocked it up and for some reason the deck doesn't work? Now when i plug my stock 99 Solara deck back in it doesn;t workeither. the fuse was blown in the fuse box area so i repalced it with one of the spare fuses. But it wasn;t the same fuse number as it read on the fuse box? What could this be,

lol...actually sounds like you just blew the fuse again.....you don't test if there's power by sparking the wires....THAT will blow the fuse too....

check the fuse again....

there is a fuse box under the hood that controls the vehicle's master harness, check there, i would not replace fuses there w/o checking all wires for a possible short, seems likely based on what you have outlined as you problem. did you do the wiring yourself, of have it installed?
