How is this system???

12" Audiobahn High Excursion series sub with 600 w rms powered by the new silver Sony XPlod amp that sends 500 rms when bridged???


its cheap and it should give me some bump

How cheap? You already know it's not the best equipment but if it's pretty cheap then might as well use it.

ive heard good things about audiobahn

plus...its sony, i dont care for their subs, but for a price of 150 for a 500 watt rms amp, its decent

just remember that the same probs for amps are out there. Just because the box says its 500rms doesnt mean its gonna put out that, even at max gain

What's your budget for an amp and a sub?

EDIT, I see from your other thread that your budget is 450, and I forgot that I reccomended some stuff. The stuff I mentioned is WAY better than Audiobahn/sony/power acoustic, etc...

i agree with cam...even when sony posts their RMS rating its not always accurate - i wouldnt waste ur money on sony or audiobahn

i have an mtx amp that cost me just a little bit more than the sony your looking at and puts out 800 watts rms at 2ohms.

Save your money...that stuff is not worth it. JBL amp and 12" sub ported to 30Hz will do the job.

Pat everybody is going to give you different opinions because everybody thinks they have the best system. However, if you can't find anything else that will give you the same results (or better) for the same price, then I say get it. Everybody says Sony makes trash but I havent' had any problems out of my amp or subs. Then again, I'm not into all of that competition stuff. It's up to you.
