bass blockers?

do these things really work? my freind wants them for his car cuase he cant lower the bass enough with the h/u.....thanks

Yes they work, it's basically an inline passive crossover that blocks low frequencies from going to the speakers.

active or passive?
Err... What I mean is, are you block Amplified bass (passive)or trying to block bass from going to an Amp (active)

on that site u gave me it has diff bass blocker. example-BASS STOPPER 300 Hz/150 Hz or BASS STOPPER 600 Hz/300 Hz what do they mean by that

Just splice the Bass Stopper into speaker positive lead. For use with both 4 and 8 ohm speakers. 6 dB per octave roll-off. *Power handling: 75 watts *Frequency blocked: 0 to 300 Hz at 4 ohms, 0 to 150 Hz at 8 ohms.
