i found out that theres a little hole on my subs rubber surrounding and i want to know if im losing bass becuase of this. what can i put there to cover the hole. i got 2 kicker l7's and one of them has the hole.
Any time you have air leaking through anything but a properly tuned port, you are losing bass. Also, is the hole dry rot or puncture? If it is a puncture hole, use silicone (conservativly) to cover the hole on both sides. Technicaly, if you don't comprimize the surrounds travel, It would be "as good as new". Didn't you just trade for those l7's? If so, inspect your isht more carefully, don't punk yourself

Contact Kicker about their trade-in program. I have traded in a few round Solobarics for brand new ones, came with full Kicker warranty. Refurbished ones, if you needed to match an older model, were also available.
Yes, the trade-in value is not high, but since of of mine was dead, and worth zero being a paperweight, the trade-in value was alright.
You can actually just use rubber cement. Put it on the backside so you don't even see it. Kicker is known to cover things out of warranty as they are a good company.

ive had my subs for like 2 years almost i dont think they will fix it for me. im going to try to put silicone on it and ill see wat happens
Still contact them if the trade-in program interests you. I think both of my subs were a few years or older when I traded them in.
I contacted them about six months ago about trading in my round Solobaric. I think they said they would still accept them. I know the sub is over six years old.
