I have a 94' 4 cylinder camry. Well this summer i'm gettin a job, SO I want to upgrade the audio in my Toyota. Well my dad was nice enough to buy me a decent deack before hand, and this : http://www.millionbuy.com/pancqc1100u.html , is it. Well the speakers are Toyota Stock, and I'm thinking about gettin these: http://www.millionbuy.com/apnspe1702.html. So since I'm a noob in Auto Audio, can someone help me out here? I just want to know if my deck can handle 2 pairs (two front and two back) of those alpine's. I was thinking about puttin subs in my car, but HEY i can wait! O yeah, if any one wants to know how to integrate an ipod in thier car with out shelling out for an expensive deck, I can help! Mine is gonna be connected through FM tuner, BUT it will have a wireless remote! How sick is that? So yeah back to the point, can some one let me know if i'm making the right decision here?
yea as cam2xrunner said, that deck has an internal amp that probably produces 20-25watts RMS. IMHO, there wont be TOO much sound difference between stock and those. the stock speakers are meant to be efficient and work well with the stock system. if you have a good ear, you will definitely notice clearer highs and less muffled mids and lows, but nothing stunningly different. depending on your budget, maybe think about getting a pair of component speakers(separate woofer and tweeter) and amplify them for your front stage.
any more questions, just ask, or refer to caraudiocentral.net.. i have been on that forum for a while and i have learned so much
That will sound much better than the stock 94 camry system. It's worth the upgrade. It would definately be worth spending an extra 50 bucks on the front speakers though. Just a thought.
I apologize if I made it sound like you should spend $100 on a front and ignore the back. I was just suggesting you save up another $50 and spend it on the front and keep those speakers for the rear. It'll definately be worth the upgrade for you to spend an extra $50 on the front speakers. In fact, I would wait until you could afford it before you do anything.
if you want to run everything off the head unit, all that is fine and dandy.. if u are planning to upgrade some more, i would suggest getting front component speakers and an amp for them. leave the rear fill powered by the head unit, especially if u dont have passengers often. front stage is really what brings the music alive. think of it as a concert. you dont face your back to the concert. they play in front of you.
