USA Looking to hook up the stock JBL unit with sub

I have a 05 Camry SE with a JBL prem. audio system. I just got a sub box with 2 12" sub (output 1000W ) from a friend, and i planning to get an amp for it . I already bought the amp installation kit. I want to hook it up to the toyota JBL head unit. IS it possible to hook up with the stock JBL unit. Also any suggestion for a good decent amp that dosen't cost more than $150... ( i can't really afford more than that price range)? How many channels amp I should get? Mono? 2 or 4?

You will need either an amp that has speaker level inputs, or more preferably-use a line output convertor

If just adding a sub I would get the N-85V

What are the specs on the subs you have(brand and model)

what subs are you using? is the 1000w rating and RMS or peak rating? is it for each sub or for the sum of both?

you can get a mono 2 or 4. i would probably go with a mono or 2 channel, but its not a big difference. let me know what subs youre running so we can recommend some amps

I think its a Visonik D4 V-Max series Dual 4 ohm (model V- 127D4) - 12" 500W RMS 1000W Max for each sub. My friend said he got it at circuit city stand at a Swap Meet event.

I hope that helps u guys.... for helping me make the decision
Thanks

If you wanted to send each sub 500 watts rms you are going to have to look for an amp that can do 1000 watts rms X 1 @ either 1 ohm or 4 ohm.

However I doubt that those subs can actually handle that much power, so I'd recomend to find an amp that will do around 700-800 watts rms x 1 @ 1 or 4 ohms.

You can look for a 2 channel amp that will bridge to send that much power, most will bridge and be 4 ohm stable.

You can look for a mono channel amp that will do 700-1000 watts rms @ 1 ohm.

Or you can get a 4 channel amp that willl bridge to a 2 channel to send each channel 300-500 watts rms @ 4 ohm.

You're going to be hard pressed to find anything decent for 150 bucks, that will send enough power to them, although they probably can't handle that much power.

What I would do is get a Zed Minilith, they cost 200 bucks plus shipping, and is a very good amp. It will do 650 watts rms X 1 A 1 ohm, then in the future if you ever plan to upgrade subs, you will have a good amp.

Did anyone know how to take out the head unit on the New 05 Camry? I guess it should be similar to all the 03+ Camrys... and also where is the factory JBL amp hiding at?
