2003 4Runner Sub Replacement

My aunt bought a 2003 4Runner last year. I told her not to get the JBL sound system but she did anyways. She listens to alot of bass heavy music. Overall the system is ok but the subwoofer sucks! She wants me to put in a better sub for her. So far Ive ordered the Q Logic custom fit enclosure, a 10" Kenwood sub and a 350 watt Kenwood amp. The amp has speaker level inputs so it can be connected to factory stereos. I know the JBL systems are amplified and connecting the new amp to an already amplified channel can potentially damage it. I guess what I really need to know is what am I going to start finding once I start taking things apart? Is there one amp that drives all the speakers or is there a seperate subwoofer amp? How many watts is pushed from the factory amp to the sub? Is there any where to get a pre amplified signal from the factory radio? TIA to anyone who can provide any more info.

ok now whats the difference between using that and using the speaker inputs on the amp? Essentially they do the exact same thing, does this just handle more power?

I'm not sure what type of voltage you would get out of using the speaker inputs to the amp, but you can get up to 7 volts when using the LOC. That might make an improvement in the bass response.

Not sure, never used speaker level inputs, but I hear it's better to use a LOC.
