I just got a Scion tC the past weekend and I want to bass out my system. I don't know the tech specs of audio wiring but will the receiver cut off a frequency before sending the signal out to the amp preout? I looked at the manual of the receiver and it says 55Hz for the low sound so I want to know if the deep bass(lower than 55Hz) will be sent out to the amp for amplification.

also, any of you know any online sites to buy subwoofer grills? i looked on ebay.com but there's not too much of a variety.

im not familiar with the tC, does the factory head unit have preamp outputs?

Yes, if the headunit has a built in crossover.

Yes, if its a 55Hz low pass crossover. Meaning everything from 55Hz and below will be outputted.

Theres low pass, high pass, band pass, and full range. Crossover wise.
