Hirschmann antenna help

yeah i just got one of those universal antennas off ebay.. and the directions are flat out useless... you can tell they tried to not put words on the damn thing...

that is like the one I bought.. i just can't figure out the electrical stuff. this has two cables and the old motor has a jack with like 4 or whatever... what a fucking piece of shit


if anyone has hooked this up.. please give me some pointers... im so pisssed right now... i really really want this to just work

^ Correct.

You need to find the corresponding wires on the plug that goes into the factory antenna.

Use a DMM (digital multimeter) to find the correct wires.

+12V constant. Hookup to the red wire on your new antenna.

+12V switched (only has +12V when the headunit is on). Hook this up to the white wire on your new antenna.

Black wire on new antenna = ground.

thanks i'll look into it... sorry if i posted in the wrong section... i figured it was appropriat because it was for my camry but oh well.. yeah im gonna check it out tomorrow thanks
