fiberglass box construction Q's

My next project for the camry is 2 custom formed subwoofer enclosures. Ive read countless tutorials and writeups, but im still not sure about 2 things.

1: How much fiberglass mat will i need? I plan on making 2 enclosures big enough to hold 1-12" speaker each, allowing for about 1-1.5ft of airspace.

2: What weight of fiberglass mat should i use? 1oz? 4oz?

anyother suggestions or writeups are of course welcome.

comeon? no ones done any fiberglass work on these boards?

those link say it all. what more do you want? when i do things like that i like to use the heavy cloth mat. first and then 2 or more of the 4oz. that should get you close to the 1/4 inch thinkness you need. you just need to let each layer dri before you do another. and where gloves you dont want it on your hands. good luck

those links say nothing on yardage of material needed. I dont want to be in mid construction and have to run around town lookin for more mat. I like to have all my materials laid out and ready to go.

So i should use 4oz chopped mat?

yardage is up to you? it depends on how big you are going to make it. just buy alot and keep your recipt and take the unused back after you are done
