That was a good article. They talk pretty bad about X-Band detection but I have detected an X-Band radar from 1 mile away when I went through Jersey to go to a car show. I bought my Passport 8500 for only 135.00 on ebay a year ago. That's less than half the price. It has paid for itself about 5 times. Seems as though Bel has stepped their game up a bit though. I just think the V1 is ugly and bulky. It is superior though.

I think Bel Tronics are pretty good. I have the 935. If you get the 985, it'll give you father range. saved my at least 3 times now. but my 935 detects alot of false alarms

Any tricks on hiding a radar detector. A cop will be more likely to give you a ticket if he notices the radar detector after you get pulled over. I wouldn't really want to start fumbling around trying to hide it because the cop would probably think I am hiding a gun.

If your speeding on a highway stay out of the passing lane as much as possible.

yeah always drive behind a fast car.....it happened to me. I was driving on the interstate and passed by a cop hidden in bushes. I turn to my right and my radar was going off at the time....and see the cop turn on his sirens, i was thinking " oh @$@%" but to my luck he chases after the car in front of me and pulls them over =D

i've seen cops change directions too on the interstate. While they're going in one direction they can catch you going the other....one cop crosses the median and speeds to pull my friend over lol.
