ok next year is when im goin all out with my sound system in my camry.
first the lows---- 3 JL Audio 13inch w7's (yea im crazy) in a custom built in box
^ what amps should i run to these (yes the have to be JL)
2 pairs of the 6.2iridiums component speakers up front and one more set in the back in a custom pillar. the front ones are going to be in custom door panel that has the speakers pointed to the my ears and passenger ears.
and of course a charging system which i still need to figure out..lol
2 extra batterys and a 150amp alternator is what i got so far.
ill be using the same H/U i got now its a alpine 9815.
if u guys have a better set up i can go with tell me and yea i want 3 subs in my car no matter what!!!!!( dont ask why)
also what amps do i need for the subs and for the mids? in total i will have 3 subs and 3 pairs of component speakers in the car.
I really don't think you'll need three component sets. And you know those Iridium components are about 500 a set(discounted price)
That's 1500 dollars, IMO a waste, and you'll have a bitch of a time tuning all that.
If you want to use the DLS Iridiums just get a 6.3 set. And send them a bunch of power. Look into a 4 channel amp for the tweet and mids. and a 2 channel amp for the Midbass.
That will be plenty loud for you and you chould be very happy.
3 13w7's eh You are crazy
If you want to try something new, look into some ribbon tweeters, those will get LOUD.

.
now im confused. what u mean midbass? isnt that like saying midrange and lows?
can u put that in better words....lol...thanks
The midbass is what gives drums that impact, that snap, that delicious crack that you feel in your chest and across the skin of your face. It's what makes a system exciting to listen to.
I just installed newMidbasses and sent them a load more power. It's like I have a new system.

In the DLS Iridium 6.2 set the 6.5" is the Midbass, but also handles the midrange frequencies.
In the DLS 6.3 set there is also a 3" dome midrange.
Midbass is like guitar plucks, and drum beats. Midrange(2-5" speakers, are meant for handling frequencies like vocals.
ok now i understand better. thanks. the jl 1000/1 seems good but dont u guys think i can get more bass out of the subs if i send them about 1500watts rms to them instead of 1000watts rms?
i only found the DLS Iridiums 6.2 and not the 6.3. can somebody show me the 6.3?
IMO that's all you need. Get a 4 channel amp that does at least 75 watts rms x 4(for the mids and highs), and a 2 channel amp that does at least 150 watts rms(for the midbass)
Oh and if you want to save even more money, but the 6.2 set off Eddie, and get the dome midrange seperately, I'm sure Eddie can get that for you. You'll save money this way because you don't need to buy that other crossover.
You'll be wiring them active(that's the best way)
Check out www.elitecaraudio.com and read as much as you can, use the keyword "active"
look at my web site, they are in my intsall. yeah tru sledge hammer will do 4000 watts without blinking, although 3K (JL 1000x3) will do the job as well.
