broken amp???

Hi nation, I have a Soundstream Rubicon 1002 amp, and just recently it has been playing really soft and i dont know what is causing it?? I had a guy that fixes amplifiers take a look at it and he fixed somethings but the darn thing still plays the same??!! It was slamming my subs a couple of days ago but now, my stock speakers can probably handle the power comming from it, that is how soft it is. Any info would be helpful guys that you very much!!!

Are the gains properly set? What kind of headunit or line output convertor are you using?

Here's a link to help with setting the gains.
http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/index.html#

Click the second link " Interactive Input Sensitivity (“Gain”) Setting Tutorial "

Also what subs are you using? How are they wired? Where is the crossover set at?

Need some specifics....

yes, my gains are set correctly low-pass is at 70 hz and subsonic is at 20 and gain was like half and the level input was correct. I have a Premeir 650 HU and it was working for a couple of months until i took it out then reinstalled it again!!! so i dont know WTF is going on, i didnt touch nothing on the amp. all i touched was the power/ground and remote wires and the speaker wires, to take it out of my car to try another amp. I left the controls alone. I have no clue WTF happend??????

Maybe a long shot, but could you have accidently wired the subs out of phase? The neg. and pos. didn't get switched perhaps?

So when you took it out it worked fine then when you reinstalled it then it stopped working? Or did it gradually get less powerful?
