Need a sub box, recommendations?

I have 2 Audiobahn 12" subs, and I need a box for them now that the Camaro is gone.

First, should I get a sealed or ported box? What about a bandpass?

Stay away from bandpass box's. I prefer sealed for more accurate bass, but if you want louder bass than what sealed will offer you go with a ported.

Typically you want to have a box made to the specifications of the sub, and the power you have available.

I have no idea which subs you have since Audiobahn makes like 50 different subs.

go custom they are always the best in the long run, they take up less space and sound better

sealed: tight bass, better sound quality
ported: fatter bass, louder
bandpass: for certain applications in a hatch-back vehicle

Custom is defenately the way to go. Go to your local lumber yard and have them cut pieces of 3/4" Medium-Density Fiberboard(MDF) and buy some "Liquid Nails" adhesive compound and clamp it together.

Yah, I went custom in my Camaro. I'd really like to have a box made, but the local Tweeter wants $600 for an MDF box, and $800 for a MDF/Fiberglass one!!

go custom, I did and it looks awesome in my camry, plus I can still get to the spare

find a stereo shop, look in the phone book or check online

tweeter, circuit city, best buy....they all rip you off
find a local shop and you will get better work for less money
