Custom is defenately the way to go. Go to your local lumber yard and have them cut pieces of 3/4" Medium-Density Fiberboard(MDF) and buy some "Liquid Nails" adhesive compound and clamp it together.

find a stereo shop, look in the phone book or check online
tweeter, circuit city, best buy....they all rip you off
find a local shop and you will get better work for less money
