It has been brought to my attention that the Good/Bad/Ugly list that my fellow Administrators and Moderators have created, may have been copied and being used on another website.
Caraudio911 has no affiliation with us, and does not have our permission to use our list on his site. Could the original poster of this thread (or moderator of this site) please remove the link to that site.
We don’t mind that you have the list in this thread, but please give credit to our site for the creation of it. We have worked very hard on this list for all newbies to Car Audio, and would appreciate being given credit.

Thank You
please review and let me know if you want me to change anything else about this post
again i apologize for the confusion
Thank You for such a fast response, I really appreciate it. Would you also mind removing the links that say bad/good/recommend
Cam2xRunner, sorry to hear that you feel our list is 'wack'. Why do you feel the list is 'wack', do you know how many times we get posts asking is Pyramid or Sony any good. Before we created the list, almost daily.
We put this list together because myself along with the other admins and mods were once 'newbies' and have experienced the let down of buying cruddy gear. So we want to avoid that happening to others.

Just some things I would rearrange, for example Audiobahn is nowhere near moderate, Audiobahn is indoor swapmeet junk.
Some of the stuff listed as moderate could fall into the recomended category, and vise versa. And one product from one company on the moderate list could have certain equipment that would by far excel from the lower or midlevel lines of certain companies from the recomended category.
I agree for the most part what is listed, and it is a good tool for newbies, but it's just too general.
It's also missing alot of good companies such as DLS, Genesis, Tru, Vifa, Seas.
It's a good effort but I just think it could be more refined and alot of companies and their line of products added for reference.
Maybe have a breakdown of how different companies are rated at their certain products.
For example: Have a category for amps then classify them as poor, moderate, good, and excellent. And note which line of a companies amps that are recomended.
I know it would take a long time, but there are message boards with people who have tested and tryed alot of different products and it shouldn't be hard to get many people's opinions.
if you go to caraudiocentral.net and register(you have to register to see the FAQ's due to people stealing info prior to this also), you will see that the above list isnt the FULL list. of course, no list will ever be perfect. everyone will have their own opinions on different brands and companies. the admins there put a lot of effort into that list and a lot of product testing throughout their car audio careers. if you come check out the forum, you will see right away that these guys are amazingly knowledgable and i have learned so much from them.

There is alot of companies that aren't listed that could fall into either of these categories.
