7" screen on rear view mirror mount

Because im gonna have subs in my back window
ive got to put a camera above my bumper so i can see behind me

heres some pics of the screen housing being molded to the rearview mirror
eventually it will be smoothed out and bondo'd so it matches my kicks

if you havnt seen the kicks...heres a pic before they were colormatched to the trim

phase one of construction....they just took some fabric and glassed it around the mirror and the housing then trimmed off the extra

the screen thats going in the housing

ill post more pics as it progresses

a very interesting idea. Is the camera effective/safe at night?
let us know how the subs go, as well, that sounds intriguing

they finally got around to mounting the camera

its actually got infared on it so it will be able to see in the dark

its got the protective cap on it right now but as you can see, you wont even know its there

my mirror is getting painted and installed today, here are some bondo'd pics

and slightly off topic... they installed the actuators for the seat pops (my amps are behind the rears seats. no one can get behind the seats without the remote)

NO MORE PULL STRAPS!!!

What do you do when you have to lower the spare? I believe that is the hole that you have to stick the tool in to lower the spare.

the tailgate is down so you cant see much, but when its up you get a full unobstructed view

i thought i took a picture from outside looking in...but o well
you pretty much can't even tell there is a screen there if you are looking from the front of the truck...uber stealth
