What's a decent headunit to get?

Alright, I'm getting an mp3 player soon, and I definitely want to be able to play it in my car, but my headunit (JVC KD-G300) doesn't have an aux in connection, and I don't want to use an FM transmitter.

Right now, I have the headunit, 2 Pioneer 6x9's in the back, and 2 Soundstream 3.5"s in the front, and 2 "Dual" 10" subs in the trunk (crappy Best Buy brand, I just wanted the cheapest subs they had .) Both the subs and the 6x9's are driven by an older Soundstream Rubicon404 amp, and it sounds decent, so I think I'll keep that part. So basically, I just need a headunit to power the front speakers, and something that has an aux in connection. I don't need insane audio quality or anything, so I'd like to keep it under $150 shipped....any suggestions?

well if you want you can check out sounddomain.com.. they have a few going out right now that are under 150.. and some of them may be shipped, but if not it wont be more than 7 dollars for shipping.. or you could try hitting up Ebay.. lol

this is a pretty good receiver.. you could look around on the internet to try and find a 105% lowest price garuntee and get it cheaper
http://www.cardomain.com/item/KENKDCMP228?vq_id=none

there is also this one.. not a bad price
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PANCQC5301U?vq_id=none

and probably the cream of the crop...
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIODEHP4700MP?vq_id=none

but the best idea would be for you to check out this one out.. ( cuz im selling it )

http://toyotanation.com/forum/t76559.html

oo and each of these comes with the istallation kits, and papaers on how to install it as well plus probably a pretty good warrenty

by far the most features and best orice for this type.. a little more then your required price range.. but it is shipped for $180.. and it is alot better than the ones i listed because kenwood lists it at $425 i bought it for 300.. think about it.. and write me if you would wanna buy mine..

get the JVC if you want a peice of crap. JVC makes horrible recievers, hence the reason its only $300.

I own a panasonic, which i really like, but pioneer makes good recievers a lot of people on here swear by them. Clarion makes nice ones, Kenwoods are decent, and Alpines are really good too.

In your budget, i think either a panasonic or a pioneer would be the best choice.

Ok, so I only posted the JVC to ballpark it...and low end JVC is shit I agree...they get better at the 300 mark, (my next JVC is the kd ax1, nice but 600 territory)and for the record he was looking for MP3 player compatibility...so a front jack is needed.....unless you want to get an interface and do a little custom work possibly.

Front jack is not needed, any aux in port is fine, I don't mind doing custom work or having a wire hanging out from the back of the stereo.

Corollacrazy, your HU is very, very tempting...I'm gonna have to think about this....
