Good and Bad for each
The Kenwood has the EL display and all these goodies, plus it comes with a remote, built-in DSP and Hi-Lo-pass filters, Sirius and Ipod compatible, Mosfet amp (50Wx4), etc.
BUT it only has 2.5V outs, I believe it only has fronts and rears, no sub out.

The Eclipse, its an Eclipse even though its a lower end model it looks pretty pimp, its got the Mapquest Route Guidance feature, which I would probably never use, Sirius and Ipod compatible, Mosfet amp (50Wx4), DSP and it comes with 3 5V outs front, rear, sub.
BUT it only has an LCD display (Not EL), no remote

Come on guys.. what you guys think?

the kenwood definitely looks better, but i hope you choose the Eclipse - it'll last so much longer than the Kenwood, even though Kenwoods have a pretty good life span

I'd go with the Eclipse, no questions asked.

In my case I have no use for the built on amp, so having a higher pre-out voltage to drive my amps is nice.

I believe some of the Eclipse decks have a 8V pre-out.

i'm shopping too and i've been looking more into eclipse product line, but i'd take sound quality over cosmetics anytime, downside on the eclipse is that their HU aren't detachable but they are equipped by ESN.

Well.. I went to look at the Eclipse today.. sounds good but other than the Faceplate angle and DSP settings, your only options are bass, treble, etc.

Someone said Alpine.. so now I'm adding 2 other choices to my list
Alpine CDA9831 ($329) and CDA9851($349) from 2001Audio/Video, a little more money but they're 4V preouts and a lot better than the Kenwood or Eclipse for the money, the 51 has a remote.
