how much power will this amp give my subs

ok i think im going to ditch the 2 13inch w7's and go for 2 kicker 15inch dvc l7 subs but i need a amp for it, what i was thinking of getting was a kicker kx2500.1 amp. how much power will the subs get and how do i wire them?

You could do this for a 4 ohm load total...



14.4V = 1500 watts, or 750 watts per sub
12.5V = 1200 watts, or 600 watts per sub

4 ohm amp? tahts kinda poor erm.... can it run 1 ohm?

125 front wheel horsepower with major retard issues between 4500-5200RPM -
OD switched off, even when not in 3rd results in major power loss/rpm drop.

Your post makes no sense.

Running a amp at 4 ohm vs 1 ohm = better sq, more efficient, less heat.

I have a mono block (Linear Power 8002SW) that runs at 4 ohm mono or 8 ohm mono. So by your terms I guess its poor, even though its a $1300 amp.

running a lower (or higher -- i mean 1 ohm) would be louder

i used to run my DLS D1000 at 0.5 ohms, steady as a rock :P
