A subtle boom

Im looking to buy a single channel (or bridgeable) amplifier which would be rated at about 300 watts (or so, 250 would do), and go about as low as 20 hertz. Also I dont wanna spend too much money, and I'm not overly concerned with sound quality. Any ideas?

Alpine MRV-T420 two channel can bridge to 340w rms/600w max at 14.4v and 4ohms. 4v inputs, 10Hz-50kHz, and can be had for about 115 shipped. I would offer mine, but i just gave a verbal contract to a coworker.
Manual can be found here

I can get you a deal at a shop in Edison, NJ or people here can recommend stuff online for you. I go to MSU, btw.

What's your budget for the amp, wiring, install and will you be doing the install yourself?

Everything is wired actually, I have the sub and everything, I'm just very dissapointed with the amp that I have right now, its a Boss C-150, and I bought it last year not knowing anything about car audio, and its a very small 40wx2 ch unbridgable amp with no crossover. (Does something like 60 hz). I'm lookign to spend something around the 100 dollar range, I can spend somewhat over that though.

Oh also I need a fuse for my battery wire, could you give me the address of this shop?

What year are you at MSU, I know a good deal of peopel there.

Super Super Senior...

Rt1 in Edison, you'd take the parkway down... get off on Rt 1 South and follow it till you see signs for Pathmark, it's in the same complex as the Avis across the street from the Pathmark.

If you're planning on going send me a PM first and I'll let them know to expect you and give you my info to tell them who you are. I don't know what kind of deal you'll get... I know I get my stuff cheaper than internet prices, but I've known them for years.

Within a five mile radius of that shop there's also Lee's Home and Car Audio, Audio Image, Autoimage, Audio Sound, First Impressionz, Dynamic Productions, there's three Zippos... And some others that are in some bad neighborhoods that I wouldn't recommend you going to unless you're from the area. I can give you directions to these places as well for you to comparison shop if ya want. I swear the area isn't that ghetto..

You're probably best off online or seeing what you can get from HiFi though.
