Your opionions

I got a 500Wx2 soundstorm slade amp and a 10" 1200W Diesel Audio sub in a sealed box. Its actually pretty damn loud and sounds good. Alot better than my bazooka tube. Anyway is what I got good stuff in your opinion? Don't just think cheaper stuff is crappy, cuz it isnt always. I know someone that got these imports "C4" subs kinda no-name, and they completely blew away his friends comparable alpine system. The thing with the amp is I doubt it puts out 1000W because the fuse is only 25A. I think its hooked in parallel, i have to check cuz the guy at the store shaved and installed the sub in the box for me cuz i was too lazy to cut it. When I run the amp for about an hour at full volume, its BURNING hot. I can't touch it. Then it will go into protect for like 5 minutes. Is that normal lol or is that the sign of a shitty amp?

I am also looking into the following 4" front speakers to be powered by my 50Wx2 alpine amp, cuz my kenwoods are overloaded.
Kicker R4c
Infinity KAPPA 42.5I
Absolute HQ42C
MB Quart DSC-210
Heres the link to compare: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...65,12492,11904,

Thanks

The truth?

They're knockoff brands that sell at swapmeets.

But if you like it, it's all good. Just when you're ready to upgrade, do alot of research. Doesn't hurt to ask for suggestions either.

Out of those selections I would go with the MB Quart, if it is infact the complete component set, in the pics, it looks like just the midrange.

What's your max budget and are you able to fit bigger speakers?

I paid about 400 for the amp. sub, and box. Too much?? Can't fit any bigger in the front and budget is as cheap as possible. lol. do u think just cuz its not as well known brand its not as good? the reason i took the diesel over the apline was because the guy at the store put the alpine 10" on the counter and the diesel 10" on the counter. the diesel was like 30% heavier, more sturdy looking, and the magnet was like 40% larger. he gave it to me for the same price as it would be for the alpine.

I was pretty much refering to the amp. I'm not familiar with the sub. Might be a really good one.

Got pics or a link?

Changed my mind just got 2 sony 1200w 12s sealed. Everything for about $350. Less than what I paid for the last package and a ton more boom. I KNOW sonys suck, but i don't have the time to properly reasearch and order parts to really customize my system. So this is good for now. Im happy. Eventually I wanna get to the point where my rearview wont stay in position. lol. But more of that later. Now I need to find some nice coaxials for the front.
