3rd Generation music cutting out?

hey guys, i was driving the other day for a while(~ 2 hrs nonstop) and i wasnt really playing my music loud. it was in the city and i had my AC on so it may have been a bit over normal. on my way home, sound keeps cutting out. i wasnt able to check if the amp itself is cutting out but i did notice that sometimes when i press the brake, the music would cut out and when i accelerate, it would come back on. this wasnt constant enough for me to make this the problem though. the only wire that sits behind the pedals is the remote turn on. if that is being pinched, would that make it cut in and out? i was also thinking maybe my electrical system is going? considering if i accelerate, the music comes back. could the alt be going? not sure

Sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere. Where are your amps mounted? Maybe you can see if the power light comes on and off when you are braking/accelerating.

Could also be the RCA connections, your positive/ground connections on the amplifier, distribution blocks, battery terminal, inline fuse from the battery. Could also be the remote turn on lead. Check the connections on the back of the cd player.

If the amp was being overdriven or the power wire wasn't thick enough it wouldn't be turning off/on when braking/accelerating.

But just for sake of conversation, what kind of system are you running? What size power/ground wire?

check that they are plugged in correctly? ok

could it be my remote turn on? that wire is there behind the pedals, could possibly be pinching it?

not unless your flooring it alot but seriously.. i dont think that pinching a cable would cause it any harm unless its started to break it apart..
