route 2 take

hi guy,need advise on installing a 12"sub to my ls400.have bought a new amp too.can i tap existing electricals from the existing amp and simply "cut" wires for the old sub and wired it to the new amp or do i have to run new rca cables from the OEM head unit. help,,!thanks

What brand and model amp do you have? Does it have speaker level inputs? If not you are going to want to use a line output convertor. I rec. the N-85V from www.davidnavone.com

its a rockford bridgeable.yep with speakers input but its got these black and red sockets for the inputs that the current amp in the car don't.what's next.pls. thanks

Personally, I would consider rewiring it. Start with the 4 or 8 awg wire, rcas etc

u mean runing and changing all the existing stock wires rcas front the head unit RP.but i intend to keep the ex amp.the new amp is meant to power the front and sub only.

Well without any info on the amp, I can't really tell you much. I can tell you this though. You will get better sound quality if you use the NE-774V from www.davidnavone.com
