Gen1 I need my Radio removed!!!!!!!!! (pics inside)

this is a 81 tercel with a classic AM radio... if anyone knows a way of removing it without breaking it, would be much appreciated.

radio removal

You should be able to pull both knobs towards you, when they come off do the same with the inner plastic pieces. After these are off there should be a nut that is over each shaft that holds the face plate to the radio, you should be able to use a deep socket to remove the nut on each shaft. Once these nuts are remove the black face should come off, There will be some other brackets behind the face plate that hold the radio in place, normally all you need is a screw driver or maybe another sock to then remove the radio. hope this helps.

I found that this FM Modulator from WalMart for $30 works better than removing my factory radio. You can either hook up a portable audio device to it (ex. iPod, CD Player), or you can use a JumpDrive like I have.
