im about to order my system and i REALLY need to know whether i should get it or not
my dad is worried about the car's electrical system (when i intend to get a capacitor)....the system isnt TOO powerful but its a Infinity 12.1D sub powered by an Alpine Mrd-m301 amp that puts out 350 watts at 2 ohms
if i were to get an Audiobahn (ive heard the brand doesnt matter, cus a caps a cap, plus it was cheap at 50 bucks) capacitor, is there ANY chance of my car having electrical issues such as air bag light, ECU problems, or alternator issues????
thanks

if you are planning on getting a cap to take the strain off the car then dont. Because it wont. It will only add more strain. I dont thin you will have any problems with a system of that size. Your better off getting a better battery or a HO alt

its just i know you LOVE image dynamics, but the thing is i have NEVER heard of them or heard them at all...i know you know what youre talking about but i thinks its too much to spend on a suggestion when ive never heard them before
i want tight, clean bass (not just hard hits) which is what infinity gives

The effectiveness of caps have been long debated. I think the concesus nowadays is that they are bandaids and do more for asthetics than audio output. I'd skip on the cap and put that money towards a higher output alt (ie. alt from a Highlander w/tow pkg) or deep cycling batt if you intend to play the tunes with the engine off. Upgrading the "big 3" wouldn't hurt either.
I've got a much larger system than the one your planning running off a stock alt and deep cycle batt minus a cap without any problems.

The reason why you've never heard of them is because they don't spend 2/3 of their budget on marketing. ID is a proven brand and you'll find alot of positive feedback if you researched. There are a whole slew of audio equip makers that aren't mainstream that not only perform better but are competatively priced aswell. They're worth looking into man! Then again, your brand loyalty has merit too.
my dad is always like this..."dont get a catback" "dont do an intake" always saying that itll mess up my car...when they havent
i think its just thats hes gotten me all paranoid about the whole thing and im becoming sketchy about it now
ill sit on it for the night i guess, and start some research tom.
i was also looking a audiobahn
but then again, i want clean, crisp, refreshing (sierra mist ) bass thats real tight and sounds nice (and massages your back a bit too)
my friend got the infinity 1230w sub with a bazzoka amp...now, his is a 300w rms, single voice coil, paper cone....the kappa that i want is 350w rms, dual vc, with an aluminum cone, not to mention a WAY better amp that matches it
all i want is that nice bass that wont break the bank (cus i need tons for college)

yeh...but i DO have two other extra electronics things...plus im running a stock alt on a 200k mile car
your gauges and pedals alone won't over tax your alt. I'm talking about ghetto chandeliers. ricer neons wired up everywhere humanly possible etc...
As for the high mileage stock alt, it's hard to say.. Those things can go without warning. Truthfully, I don't think you have much to worry about. Get the system and in the meantime, start saving for a replacement alt ...whether it be stock rated or H/O just incase.

The Kappa Perfect subs are really nice, I don't got nothing bad to say about them. Just was going to offer some other options, that I know personally would be better.
i was about to order the sub from cardomain and forgot they price matched
as for the amp...cbrstereo sells it for 180$ i do have a mastercard, but its my debit card (i have no credit) so i dont know if itll work...as for the price match, thanks for saving me some money
