Post 05 camry radio removal

I need to remove the radio on my 2005 camry to install an adapter for adding RCA inputs. I've looked around but I can't find any screws and the panel won't come off when I try to pry it off. Where are the screws located?

Never mind, I was able to figure it out.

For future referenece what you do is first remove the plastic panel surrounding the climate controls. You need to use a flat-head screwdriver or similar flat object to pry it off. Then you pry the radio panel off. After that there are some screws you need to remove. To do this you need a short phillips head screwdriver.

Thanks for the how-to

So what kind of Camry do you have? What are your plans? (if any)

Well, I don't wanna sound like a rich kid or anything, but I'm 16 and my dad bought me a new Camry. The first time I turned on the radio I chuckled at how tinny the radio was. I asked my dad if I could put a new sound system in and he said no, but I think after a few months he'll consider it.

Anyway, the reason I wanna take out the radio is to install a TOY03-AUX adapter so I can plug my iPod into the car because I recently sold all my CD's, since I usually just buy them, rip them, and never use them again.

The car is a 2005 Camry with a 5 speed manual transmission. It's the base model camry without any options or anything. It's silver, or "Lunar Mist". As far as modifying the exterior, if my dad would even let me I don't think I would. I'm not really the type of guy who cares what my car looks like. The only thing I might do is put a new stereo in.

Cool, it's always nice to have giving parents. Congratulations on the new car.

I like the 4cyl, 5 speeds, they're pretty fun to drive. Great gas mileage too for a fairly large car.

The best advice I can give for sound system stuff if you are new to it, is to start researching some of the better car audio forums. My personal favorites are www.elitecaraudio.com , www.diymobileaudio.com and Buwalda Hybrids

Chainy, congratulation on your new Camry and I'd like to welcome you to the Toyota family and ToyotaNation.

Rob, those are some great forums to recommend to check out;
I have to give props to Scott Buwalda and Peter Lufrano for selling very fine high quality products as well as importing some great sq items and amazing setups in their ride.
And if you know me well Robert I have some more suprises arriving this week as well

I said tinny, as in low in sound quality.
