2nd Generation How to remove front speakers on 88 camry?

Hello,
I inherited a 1988 camry as my first car from my parents, and all the speakers are blown. I already replaced the rear speakers with relatively cheap 5.25" speakers and they sound great, but i dont know how to change the front speakers. I've tried prying the grills off, but i dont want to break them off and i cant stand the rattling front speakers. And before you say search...ive searched here and google for the past hour, Please someone help me!!!

Thanks

Drivers side:

1. Remove the black plastic piece going across the bottom of the dash. Theres 2 screws.

2. Remove the panels (dimmer switch and cruise control switch) on each side of the steering wheel. Theres bolts hidden behind the panels.

3. Remove the speaker grill. Bolt hidden behind the grill.

4. Remove the hood release latch. IIRC theres 2 screws holding it to the dash. Pull the hood release latch forward and remove the cable from it.

5. Remove the 4 bolts on the lower corners of the dash. 2 bolts in each corner.

Pull off the dash and you'll the speaker + housing towards the top left of the dash.

Passenger side:

You need to remove the lower dash + glovebox. Theres a bunch of bolts and screws just like the drivers side.

P.S. The front speakers are 3.5" with a 4" passive radiator.

Little known Stock Camry Audio upgrade...

After you replace the speakers(consider the Boston Acoustics 3.5"), set the "enclosures" on the floor by your kickpanels. By changing the angles, you can set your stage. A little duct tape here and there and viola! Instant audio upgrade with practically no money invested.

While screwing around with my friends 3rd Gen, I was able to get the stage nearly pillar to pillar with the images hovering at dash level.

Thanks for the help guys. The process looks a little long/tedious, so i guess i'm going to wait till i have a few hours to spare before i get in there. With 3.5" speakers would i need any adapter brackets or anything? The rear speakers were a bit** to install without the adapter brackets.

3.5" speakers will fit directly in there.

Its really not that hard, its just taking out the glovebox and the lower dash panels, not difficult at all.
