Where could I hook up the remote wire if I am using my stock head unit in my 01 Solara? I dont want to take the center console apart or anything, so is there something I can hook it up too without taking anything apart? Thanks in advance everyone.
Thanks for the info bro, I taped into the radio fuse and it is working so far. I did notice that when I had the amp turned up almost all the way it was drawing alot of amps from the alternator so I had to turn the amp almost all the way down. Anybody else have this problem too? My amp is only a 200 watt amp too, maybe I will get a alternator that puts out more amps, has anybody done this and if so what kind of alternator did you go with??
I have a multi meter how do I do it and what is the other thing I need? Its not a good amp its a alphonics amp and subs from circuit city, cost me $200 for both. It sounds pretty good but I cant get it to sound good all the time, some songs sound better then others. Any tips on how to set it up would be great, there are a couple more dials I can mess with on it also but I have no idea what they are for, I never had a system in any of my other cars so this is all new to me. Thanks in advance bro...

Hey everyone I have another question about the stock hu in my 01 Solara SE, does the stock hu turn the bass down itself the louder its turned up? It seems like when I have it turned down it has more bass then when I have it cranked up. I am most likely gonna put in my Jensen head unit, how does the black plastic piece come off in the center console? I cant find any screws, does it pop off? I dont want to pull on it if it doesnt. Thanks in advance everyone
