system/box/wiring it all up

okay this is gonna take a little reading, sorry, but i got alot of questions. i have an 02 camry SE, and i wanna put 2 10" subs in my trunk. im getting them for free and they are kenwood subs (have to check what kind) they are already in a box wrapped in carpet.

okay so here goes.

I wanna make a custom box for them, this is what i was thinkin. my amp in between the two subs, the front of the box fitting snug against the sides of my trunk (only stick out about 12 inches from the rear seats). i wanna put a plexiglass fron to the box, with the amp inside, so that when you look at it you can see the subs in the box, along with the amp. then i wanna put a neon tube in to illuminate the inside of the box. any suggestions on doing this? will it work? WHAT KIND OF WOOD SHOULD BE USED FOR THE BOX?

okay, on to amp. what kind? how many channels? i have a stock HU as of now so how would i go about wiring this up? should i get a fuse distribution block to handle all this? basically, how do i wire it? i dont wanna ******-rig it (no offense intended) by hooking power lines directly to my battery and such, i want nice, safe, actually good job. how should i run my wires from the HU to the trunk?

any help would be totally awesome, thanks.

as for the box...

MDF (medium density fiberboard) is a good choice.

Amp inside box is not good for the cooling of the amp.

i forgot to mention this, i am going to drill/cut holes or slots (rectangular shapes) out of the plexiglass front of the box around the amp to allow air to the amp. i know it needs air to cool itself.

im really not as worried about the box as much right now as i am about hooking up and running the 2 10" subs off my stock HU. i also really would lke to have some amp and wiring help

Run the wires along the door sill. It's recommended that you run the power wires down one side of the car and the signal (RCA) on the opposite side. The reason for this is to avoid the possability of getting interference due to poorly shielded wires.

You will need to run a cable from the battery to the trunk. You will need to find a hole in the firewall to run the wires. Try looking in the driver side wheel well. I found a hole there on my Gen 4.5 Camry. It was 3/4 the way up the wheel well. Remove the plastic shield from there and you should be able to see a big bundle of wires running into the car.

I haven't taken apart a Gen 5 Camry, but on the Gen 4.5, all the door sill pieces are just clipped in place, with some pieces overlapping. Remvoe the overlapping pieces and pull up and the door sill pieces will come out.
