so i went to knukonceptz.com and found two y splitters, a 4 channel kit. a 2 channel kit, a distributer block(one 4awg to two 8awg), and the 4 and 8 gauge wires, i dont know how many feet of wires i need. the 4 gauge will be from the battery to the trunk and the 8 gauge will only go from the distibution block(trunk) to the amps(trunk) what kind of speaker wire do i need(rating) and what does 1m 2m and 6m mean for rca wires

I've got a 99 Camry and just got done with my wiring (finally, kinda). I also ordered from Knu. Good guys to work with (except my last order is taking forever!).
I actually just had to shorten my RCAs this weekend since the kits came with like 16-17 ft' of it. The kits on Knu come with 5 meters (I thought), which comes out to 16' or 17'. Just run all that to the trunk and cut off what you don't need and solder the jacks back on. I've got 7' just to go to underneath my front seats. 9' probably wont do it. If youu're gonna run it down a side, then you'll probably need all 16+ feet of it.
I've probably got about atleast 10' of power wire just to go to my center console. You might need between 12-15' to go to your trunk. Don't quote me on these #s though. You need to go measure. And ALWAYS over estimate. Its easier to cut it down than it is to add to it.
Depending on what kits your getting, the 4 awg should have 12 awg speaker wire, for your subs, and the 8 awg should have 16 awg for other speakers. I decided to *upgrade* my wire and ordered some twisted 16 awg to help shield signals and stuff.
Speaking of which...how exactly does twisting the wire shield the signal? (Kinda dumb question since i bought it not knowing specifics, but I was told by a reliable source that it helps, I just wanna know how it helps.)

Twisting helps with cross talk / interference.
An example would be a CAT 5 cable where you have 4 twisted pairs.
I have a 2000 Camry LE and just put all the wire in for my amp.
I used the 4 ga amp kit from Knukonceptz and all the wires were all long enough. They were a bit too long actually.
The 20 ft power wire will go from the battery, around the stock air box, fused near the strut, into the wheel well, through the firewall, down the side under the plastic trim, up the side next to the back seat, and through to the trunk. In the trunk, there is probably like 3-4 ft left to play with.
The 5 m RCA cables are long enough to go from the HU to the passenger side by going under the drawer. Then it goes down the side taking a similar route as the power cable to the trunk. There is about 2-3 ft remaining in the trunk.
The 20 ft speaker wire was enough to only do one door. There is enough to go from the rear of the front door (passive crossover), through the rubber tube, and then into the trunk under the plastic trim. In the trunk there is about 3-4 ft remaining. I ordered another 20ft to do the other door with the amp kit. I guesstimaded and was fairly close.
My only complaint is that the zip ties that are provided suck. I have never seen zip ties snap in two pieces when bent (not even 180 degree bend). I'm not talking just one zip tie either.
