Yeah, I was a cheap bastard with this one... I wouldn't mind $200 for that HU. Oh well, it's not like I have a car to put it in right now anyways.

Well that's your opinion and you're entitled to that. Quite frankly, I think you're an idiot.

Just because Sony makes some of the most flashy of head units doesn't mean that I would EVER consider buying one and puting it into my ride -- ESPECIALLY since my goal is to build the ultimate SQ sound system. In my experience, more flash and more bells and whistles just attracts more unwanted attention which I know now, leads to heartbreaking theft.

If all you want to do is impress your friends and care nothing about the build quality of your equipment, by all means, go out and buy a JVC or Sony. Those blue LEDs sure look neat.

But if you know anything about car audio, you'll realize that the DEX-P9, C90, 8250ti, etc., while being some of the most bland-looking head units, are worthy of being the centerpiece of IASCA sq level winners.

Just my $.02 USD.

In case you didn't know, the 8250ti is a rebadged Denon. Google it.

How does Nakamichi and Eclipse compare to these?
I'm curious...I always thought that Eclipse are very good HU and they have 8V pre-out and these have 2. I was always under the impression that a higher voltage pre-out would be better for sound quality because it is less prone to interference.
