3rd Generation ARE kenwood typhoon subwoofers good??single or a pair?do they bump ??helpp

HI boys and girls,i asked a question about subwoofers and amps that sound good.ive been

looking at these kenwood typhoon speakers in a 10 inch or a 12 inch.says 700 watts each with

like 350 rms.12" are 1000watts with 500watt rms.are these woofers good??in a pair?or a 12" by

itself??theyre not too expensive which i like so i can get a good powerful amp to push one or

two.let me know boyss i really need some direction i wont buy unless i know their good quality

subs and no one would kno better on what to put in my camry than all of yous.thanxxxx

no.

I would give you a list of reasons why, but I'm afraid you won't understand a damn thing I'll say....

Lemme ask you a couple questions...so you're getting a system? What amp will be driving your subs? What headunit do you have? SQ or SPL? Are you more inclined towards a single or pair of subs?? Do you have any brand preferences? Have you ever owned a system before?

Post your answers to those questions -- me and Cam2XRunner (because this is ALL he does) -- will direct you in the right direction.

ive had a pair kenwood typhoons before, but only cause i got them both for $50 and the guy threw in an amp. they were pretty decent, as in they hit hard enough to shake the car but nothing glass shattering. i would say to get something better.

I used to own these. Good for a starter system that's not looking to shake down the neighborhood and if you're not looking to damage your ears like many other people such as me. I had 2 hooked up to a 2-ch 600W Kenwood amp. Since then, my friend (who will never ever touch my system again) blew the subs by turning the volume too high and I replaced them with Infinity Reference 1230W's.

How much do you want to spend on the sub(s), box, amp, wiring?

You need a pair of JL Audio 12 or 10 W3 with a JL Audio 500/1 Slash.
