3rd Generation Do 6 1/2 speakers fit in the doors of our gen 3 Camrys??

HI BOYS,QUICK QUESTION HERE.i just took out the stock speakers in my 92 camry le.I

measured them and it said 6 inches.i put in brand new 5 1/4 inch jbl speakers in the front

around.im wondering what size speakers should be in there, that would fit perfectly and sound

good.i went to crutchfield.com and they said 6.5 and 6 3/4 inch speakers would fit.would they

mount perfectly in the doors??without any cutting or fitting problems, helppp thanxxx

i had some a small problem with my 6.75" speakers but yeah nothing a little dremeling couldnt fix, there was a small 1/8 inch ring arround the outside of the mount and i just sanded that down and it worked perfectly.

remember the 6x9s in the back have odd holes, so be ready when your new speakers wont match up and you have to make an MDF "adapter"

I thought it was a good idea to have circuit city install my speakers because I wasn't comfortable doing it myself. The installation SUCKED and I ended up having to take the door apart and reinstalling them myself anyways.

When I say sucked I mean, crooked screws and wires just left dangling to rattle inside the door...stuff that would've taken seconds for them to fix while the had the door taken apart.

Just thought I'd share. I'm almost glad the install sucked, if it didnt I might not learned how to do installations myself.
