Quick amp/sub question...

A friend of mine bought an amp and sub from Best Buy a few years ago. Amp is the Rockford Fosgate P3001 (150x1@4ohm, 300x1@2ohm). The sub is also Rockford Fosgate, but he doesn't know the model or what it can do, so I'm going to assume it's a 150w sub. Now, he wants to buy another one of the same sub and build his own box for it, but doesn't know what to do with the amp, he'd like to keep it if he can, to save money.

Is the amp able to run 2 150w subs if they're wired together?

^^ he can do that if the subs are 4ohm SVC or 2 or 8 ohm DVC, that would be his best bet
