I'm not too sure there'd be a lot of people here who can help you. There aren't a whole lot of new-gen Taco owners on here and there are even fewer with AVIC N1's...

You best bet would be to make a post on...

www.elitecaraudio.com
www.sounddomain.com (forums)

Or...simply take it to your local shop and have them take a look. Sorry I wasn't too much help...

I PM'ed one of the mods at TS who has access to all the wiring diagrams, so hopefully I can get an answer for you shortly.

You might also be interested in this little trick. It should work for your N1.

SilverStreak05, do you happen to have the diagram for future references? Did you use one from TS?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that connector is on the back side of the fuse box, which means you'll have to take it out. 2-3 bolts IIRC, easy to do.

What I mean by 13 pin is you're looking for a plug that can accept 13 wires. That doesn't mean it will actually have 13 wires in it, just 13 places. The one you're looking for is black in color, most of them are white. Once you find the right connector, look on the backside and you will see the numbers, they're hard to see but they are there.

I get all my wiring info from www.the12volt.com. You can find a techsheet for the 2005 Tacoma here. I used that one to install my alarm. It doesn't list the VSS wire, but it's still a good resource for wiring information.
