I use and reccomend Raammat60. It is 60 mils thick(like dynamat extreme) Butyl Based(like Dynamat Extreme).

Rick sells it for 99 bucks for 62.5 sq ft, but ask for the Forum Discount, and you'll get 10 bucks off. Shipping prices are low too.

www.raamaudio.com

Tell him I sent ya.

I presonallyenjoy the Second Skin Audio stuff. I've had good results with it. However, I haven't tried Raamat, so I couldn't really say which is better. Their B-Stock is well priced. And they have liquid stuff too!

On this topic, what are the most important things to deaden? Doors I know (I think) are pretty important. Is there anything else that would make a significant change?

That's fine for horizontal surfaces, hopefully it doesn't fall off onto your windows

When you stick it to the inside of the door, on the outer door skin, it can fall off from the top, then fall onto the window when the window is rolled down. Happened to my friends eDead, both edead and peal and seal are asphalt based, in fact edead v1 is pretty much rebadged peal and seal.

Another example of eDead falling off.

IMO the only way to go is raammat.

it cost me $40.50 for i think 2 rolls, may have been 4. its been fine on my rear deck and trunk for about 8 months now. yea, i do think itll eventually fall off vertical surfaces, it got a little loose on the trunk when i opened it to check, but its all good, the cloth trunk cover holds it together. if your gonna do doors, i guess go with what cam2xrunner recommends

otherwise peel and seal is basically made of the same stuff, tar and aluminum backing.

Do you coat the inside of the door panel as well as the metal door? What about the outer door skin where you can get to it through the holes? Also, I am getting the q-logic box. It is already lined with whatever it needs, right? Should I line the storage bin that it fits into?

Get everything that you can coated. Outer door skin (reachable through the holes in your door), Inner door skin (the thing with all the holes in it), Firewall (if you can get to it), quarter panels, trunk lid, rear deck, and lastly, your floor and ceiling. The doors, QPs and Firewall are where most of your outside vibrations and sounds will come from.
