I was hoping someone can recommend me a high end headunit. I'm looking for a single din DVD player with a monitor. It must be able to play DVD-R movies. I've read a lot of the new headunits have some kind of protection so that you can't play copied movies. Also, some seem to only play DVD+Rs. Any help?

Pioneer AVIC-N1 gets my vote.
I have never used/seen an offering from Eclipse in person, but I've heard nothing but great things about them as well...
JVC avx-1.....3 inch monitor and reads everydamn thing I have sent it's way...including DVD-Rs. They also have a 7" monitor but I haven't head too much on it
i beleive alpine tv is the best out there condsider the iva-d300 its not to pricey and it won best product at CES very innovative. or get the 310 the 2005 model. pioneer avic-n1 is quality too but dont get the n2 it prevents you from driving and watching movies. for the alpines you can buy a black box for 12 dollars it will bypass video everytime when u turn on the car no need for switches.
Thanks everyone. I am really leaning towards either Kenwood KVT-915 or the Alpine IVA-D900. However, I hear that the IVA-D900 doesn't play burned copies of DVD movies on a DVD-R format, only +R format. On the other hand, I heard Kenwood KVT-915 will play it so I guess I will have to go with Kenwood. Any comments or advice regarding the 2 and its ability to play -Rs?
I'm contemplating going the cheap way (not the $14.99 way though) and buying a dual din monitor and a sepapre unit that will play DVDs, Cds, etc...Would be much cheaper than the flip out monitors
