Remote Wire

I have an '05 Corolla S, and I am hooking up a 250 watt amp and a Kicker CVR 10 to my stock radio. I have everything hooked up, and it will work right. The only problem is that I don't know where to hook up the remote wire so that it doesn't drain the battery when the car is off. In other words, where do I hook the remote wire to so that the amp is only on when the car is?

You can splice it into the cig lighter or power outlet.

^^ x2....i did that and i also included a switch between the lighter and the amp because i knew there would be times when i wanted to listen to the radio without having the engine on.

---got a toggle switch from radio shack

You can also use the ACC turn on lead on the back of the headunit. It should be a thin light grey wire.

The cig lighter/power outlet is on when the car is in ACC position (engine off)

Also, I suggest a 1-2A fuse on the wire.
