Amp's on rear deck?

I was wondering if anyone has mounted their amps upside down on the rear deck?, if so how'dd it turn out for you? . I'm looking more for an inconspicuous place to mount them. My car was broken into last week and they trashed almost everything. They cut my wires, smashed one amp with a rock or a hammer, took a screwdriver to my (brace yourself) 13" W7 Any help would be cool

Not a good idea. Heat rises. You'll be floating them with their heat. Have you tried mounting them to the backs of the rear seats?

i installed one upside down b4 and it overheated regularly, had to install some fans to keep the heatsink cooler, still didn't help much, ended up moving the amp

You could always rig up a shelf to the rear deck and mount the amps on that, right side up.

Create a couple of strong mounting brackets and find agood place to attach them so that they hang down from the rear deck, then make sure that you have good mountin places on the bracket (for the amp to attach to) and then run it like that. Actually that'd be pretty cool. I'm sure its been done before, but its always something different than what most people do.
