Speed Sensor Wire..05 Tacoma

I'm having a hard time locating the speed sensor wire to tap into. I've looked up the 05 tacoma wiring diagram and it says it's either a purple/white or red/yellow wire, neither of which i've been able to locate. Can anyone please help me out, as I need to hookup my speed sensor for my NAV unit.

Ok, try this.

Fuse box, black 13-pin plug, pin 5, purple/white. Or, also found at the ECM behind the glove box, second plug from the bottom, pin 8.

What color is the Pin 8 behind the glove box? I see a red/yellow one, and hooked my multimeter up using the resistance and get nothing.

It should be purple/white as well. Why are you checking for impedance?. The only value you will get is an AC value while the car is running.

When the engine is running or when the vehicle is moving? Obviously the speed sensor won't give a signal if the engine is turned on, just when the truck is moving.

I think that's what you meant, I just wanted to get some clarification since I'm about to do the same thing.

Correct, I meant to say when the vehicle is moving, not just idling.
