Video Bypass for Alpine

Alright, I finally got the IVA-D900. Anyways, I was looking at several video bypass on eBay and noticed there are 2 kinds. One is the manual and the other is the PAC-TR7. I assume the PAC-TR7 is automatic but for some reason it comes with a switch. I don't understand that. Anyways, I read on the ad for the manual switch that it is safer for the headunit versus the automatic bypass module. Is this true or is the seller just trying to sell his product by telling me this?

Though there are ways to bypass the safety feature, but I don't condone it because it IS illegal. Thread closed.
