Help, celica factory amplifier

ive already read cam2xrunner's thread on the camry and solara's factory amplifier. I have 2000 celica and have found the factory amp but cannot find the connectors for the wires prior to the amp. they are located different than the camry's and i was hoping somebody out there might know or have some idea on where to look. ive gutted my dash so far but found nothing. Any help would be great, thanks.

I didn't think the '00-current Celica had a factory amp anywhere. Where is this amp located at?

as long as you have the premium 8 speaker sound system it has a factory amp, it is located to the right of the glove box, but i might have the wrong wiring harness for it, still any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I didn't realize there WAS an 8-speakers option for the Celica. Typically, the standard 2-plug harness should be near the radio cavity somewhere, since most Celicas used the built-in amp from the headunit. If you trace the harness from the amp to the radio cavity, perhaps you'll find what you're looking for.

Are you replacing anything else besides the headunit? It might be best to just hardwire the headunit in anyways. Not too difficult, but it is extra work. What headunit are you going to use?

i thought about just wiring the head unit in because that is all im doing but i don't plan on keeping this one for too long. Its a cheap sound storm headunit that i got for real cheap and its just to hold me off till i get something nice, so im trying not to cut too many wires and be as neat as possible because it is just temporary. but if it comes down to it i might just do it.
