Power Issues

Ugh...this is getting to be bad

Ive got both my pioneer headunit and the ipod dock wired to the battery line for the headunit. Since I have done this I am not getting power to either the headunit or the ipod dock. Why could this be? I was told that the battery wire could support both, so this is just confusing to me.

Nope. I had the headunit wired in originally, soldered and everything, taped up. I untaped it, and soldered the power line for the ipod dock connector onto the original spot, then taped it back up. Is that ok or did I just make a stupid mistake

undo the ipod wire and check if the headunit will power on. it may be a power draw issue then. if that were the case then you would either want to find another acc power souce or set up a relay

power is overdrawn....or fuse is blown.....either would be the culprit in my opinion
