How nice of them by doing this for their customers.

My next sub (if I will ever get another one) will be JL for sure. 8)

I thought it was good to have a bigger amp. As long as your gains were at appropriate levels, your subs should be fine. Isn't it actually more harmful to "under power" you subs and causing them to start "clipping" :-?

as long as you dont turn the sup volume or the gain higher than you need (or to where your not putting more wattage to the speaker).

just cuz you have a 1000 watt amp doesnt mean youre puttin 1000 watts to your speakers the whole time...

SQ improves if you have combination of stuff like cap, deep cycle battery, high guage wires and sound dampening.

Oh and above all a high-quality amp.

if you want quality you should get the old W6 (this is before the W7 came out)
they are supposedly for quallity and the W3 for SPL, i should have gotten a 15W6 i think

Correct, but its not the subs that clip.

The amp clips when it runs out of power and this causes a distorted signal to goto the subs.

Just because you have a 1000 watt amp doesnt mean you are running 1000watts at any time..there are so many amps that so they push this many and they dont even come close to push that they supposedly do...

basically the more money you spend on you audio the better it will sound...now i know it has to be installed correctly but if you are doing your own work then you can tweak it until it sounds perfect
