I have 2 12" audiobahn subs that can handle 400 w RMS and a pioneer 760w amp. The amp only puts out 374 RMS bridged so i want to upgrade. Im thinking about buying the AudiobahnA8002T amp because it puts out 400x2 RMS and that is perfect for my subs. I found one on ebay for $125. I know this is a good deal because these amps go for around $300 retail. Is this deal too good to be true?? Has anybody purchased one of these off ebay b4??
Thanks for any feedback,
Marc
I had the amp. I also got it off ebay. I personally thought it was decent, but a lot of people hate audiobahn here. For the money, it isnt bad. It will go with your system too. But its 400x2 @ 2ohm and 200x2 @ 4 ohm. Im guessing your subs are single 4 ohm (SVC 4). So you will only get 200w out of it.
You can get the Audiobahn A8000T (same amp, but 1 channel mono. Thats 800x1 @ 2 ohm.
Wire your subs like this
You are good to go then.

No my subs r dual voice coil so I can get 400w Rms out of the amp if i wire it right. I have 8 guage wire will that work with the amp?? Also will i need a capacitor or is that not needed because I dont have money to spare.
Why do u hate audiobahn soo much?? Have u bought a product of theirs and it broke??
I've never bought anything of Audiobahn(no offense, but I know better)
They are overrated power wise, they overheat, they have high distortion figures, they lie about their ratings, they are too blingy, they look ugly(my opinion).
The main reason why I haven't bought anything from Audiobahn is because I know there is better equipment available.
Thanks for the reasons not to like audiobahn but i think im still going to buy the amp because in my opinion it looks great, has a fan on it so it would be pretty hard to overheat and i dont leave my amp on for long periods of time anyway, i dont need every watt of power stated as long as its in the general area, and its also pretty cheap compared to other amps with the same wattage output.
I don't have any experience with Audiobahn amps, but my friend had a Audiobahn sub.
It sounded like shit. My old JL 12W5 sounds better then it.
And I agree with everyone else. Audiobahn = bling bling junk.

Not all amps are created equal. You get what you pay for.

Well it's sad to see you get that when I know you can do better for the money. If you'd like some recomendations on something better for around the same money, let us know.

Aight cam2Xrunner im takin reccomendations if u wanna give em. Im lookin for an amp in the $100-$160 range. My subs handle 400rms each so as close to 800 rms is wanted. Thanks for the help.
