Just thought I'd let everyone know that I finally got my front stage amp set up and good to go. Its a PPI 2300 (Chrome Series) and its going to a pair of Polk DB6500 co-axes (I didn't know about comps until after I bought these and didn't want to do major fab work (ie kick panels), but they're still damn good IMO). Just a little bit of fine tuning and I'll be set. Sounds great. Gets real loud too! I'm thuroughly pleased with what I've got so far.
Now all I have to do is get my box carpeted, put then subs in and put my other amp in and I'll be good to go!
I imagine somewhere down the road I'll find myself some decent comps and do the kick panel thing, but for now this wil have to do. And besides, I've got other stuff I need to do with my money ATM.

Door mounted speakers IMO are a better way to set up components than kicks. There's alot more airspace in the door than in a kickpod. If you're doing a 3 way component set, kicks work good for the midrange.
Yeah, well any new car equipment will have to wait. I need to start saving up for a house and stuff so I can be completely on my own when I get out of college. Oh, and Cam, I've got a 99 Camry, just like you had(right?). I'm hoping to finish up in the next two weeks or so, so there will be pics up when I'm all done.

I hear u,I didnt buy my 1st new vehicle until I bought my house.Best financial choice u can make buying a house.
How much of a drop did you do on your ride? I'm thinking about doing 18x7.5s on my cam (when I get around to it) and was thinking of doing a similar setup to what you had for suspension.
What was the best (your favorite) system you put in that badboy cause I'm sure you changed equipment more than you changed your underwear .

I used Solara Eibachs with Tokico's. They say it is 1.6" drop in the front and 1.4" in the back. Sounds about right. I was pretty happy with it. I just wiched I used Toyo T1-S's over the Nitto NT-555. I would have gotten much better handling. I'd rec. the new Toyo T1-R now that it is available.
I didn't change systems too many times. I used a Pioneer AVX-P7000CD 7" Monitor, with the AVM-P8000R Processor, XDV-P9 6 Disc DVD changer. JL 300/4 Bridged to 150 watts rms x 2 to Infinity Kappa Perfects. The subs were two JL 12W3's powered by a JL 500/1. Also had a PS2 in the mix and TV Tuner.
Completely Deadened with Raammat60.
I would have done things differnently back then if I knew what I know know, but it was ok.
Yeah, I've got tons of plan for my cam down the road (probably similar to yours). I think I'm going to get a PS2 SlimLine for my apt, and when I get a PS3 I'll put the slim in my car. Hopefully by then I'll have a set up for it. I think when I'm ready for a new setup I might go with some ED stuff (subs and amps) and prolly an Alpine DVD unit. I don't know yet though.
