Got some new Amps

On Ebay I got a great deal. I got the seller to end the auction early by buying two of his auctions and paying right away. I got both of these amps for what just one of them cost. $560 Shipped for both. And these amps are almost brand new. They look and work perfectly. I love all the digital controls and stuff. Seems like a sweet deal on some sweet amps.
Tell me what you think.

Kicker sx1250.1
Kicker sx900.4

I'd like to get the Kicker SXRC Remote

I'll post some pics soon.

Now the hard part will be fitting them into my 05 Tacoma Double Cab. I'm going to have to use up ALL of the storage space to make everything fit.

Kicker SX amps are nice. You're gonna need some electrical upgrades for those .

Yeah, I'm going to run a bigger alternator cable, and upgrade the battery to a Stinger or Odyssey. Hopefully the stock 130 amp alternator can handle the load for a while. I'll probably run 1/0 to a dist/fuse block in the rear and then 2 guage to each amp. I'll have to run the cable down the passenger side because i have already ran some wire down the driver side for other accessories. I might even have to run the cable underneath the cab and then come up into the back of the cab. 1/0 is pretty big.

That SX 1250.1 is 1 ohm stable and the 900.4 is 2 ohm stable. But I probably will run the 4 channel amp at 4 ohms per channel, and the sub amp at 2 or 4 ohms mono, so the amps won't pull as much current.
That 1250.1 requires a 150 amp fuse. And I will probably put a 100 amp fuse on the 900.4.

Oh, and they aren't refurbished or B stock amps. Retail receipts. I wasn't really shopping for amps near this big, but what a deal, huh?

I think that the wife was selling her husbands audio equipment real fast while in the middle of a divorce. She doesn't seem to know what the amps are really worth. Her husband (Ex-husband) will be pissed!

^ HAHA that's sucks for him, you scored though. Too bad it wasn't a rare sportscar like the old ex-wife selling the husbands sportscar story

I ran 0 gauge in my friends '05. There wasn't any problem tucking it under the carpeting.

So where the heck are you gonna put these amps? That guy with the Marv enclosure actually has another amp on the backside of the amp rack. That might be an idea. Those amps have built in fans right?

Well, I won't be able to use a dual sub setup like Marvs, because the 900.4 amp is 25.5" long, which is too wide to fit between the 2 enclosures. I'm going to see if I can make some kind of fiberglass sub enclosure to replace the rear under-seat compartments. I might have to move the jack stuff. I'll take out that plastic compartment that runs under both rear seats of my double cab and see what kind of room I got.

If it works I could use the space behind the passenger side seats just for mounting the amps, dist blocks, and component x-overs, plus still have the stock storage compartment on drivers side.

And yes, the amps have fans in 'em. Sweeeeet.
